Literature enthusiast Volunteers Needed

We are seeking volunteer readers to help bring comfort, connection, and the joy of literature to individuals receiving hospice care.

Books and stories have the power to soothe, inspire, spark memories, and create moments of companionship. We invite community members who enjoy reading aloud to share poetry, short stories, novels, essays, newspapers, inspirational writings, or favorite literary works with hospice patients in our community.

We are looking for volunteers who:

• Love literature and storytelling

• Enjoy reading aloud in a calm and engaging way

• Are compassionate, dependable, and good listeners

• Want to make a meaningful difference through the simple gift of presence

No previous hospice experience is required. Training and support will be provided.

Whether reading a beloved classic, a favorite poem, or pages from a treasured book, your voice and presence can offer comfort during an important time in someone’s life.
