United Way of Tarrant County Backpack Assembly – Aug. 3-6, 1pm to 4pm

In-person volunteer opportunity

As families across Tarrant County prepare for a new school year, United Way of Tarrant County is bringing the community together to help students start the year ready to learn and succeed.

This year's Day of Action will provide free backpacks, books, school supplies and family-friendly activities designed to support student success and connect families with valuable community resources.

Join us at our main office to stuff backpacks and get items ready for delivery to our event sites!

Date: August 3 through August 6

Time: 1pm to 4pm

Location: United Way of Tarrant County, 201 N. Rupert St., Suite 201, Fort Worth, TX 76107

Volunteers Needed: 20

Volunteer Duties: Volunteers will unbox, sort, stuff backpacks and box items for distribution.

Other: Children 10 and older are welcome to participate with a parent or guardian.

Parking: Parking is available in the front and along the side of our agency. Street parking is also available. We are a handicapped accessible building with disabled parking and a ramp located at our main entrance.

Volunteers will be able to select the date of their choice and we will begin promptly at 1pm. Volunteers will have the flexibility to help for one or more hours.
