The Chronic Pain Project | Portland, OR | Remote | ~5 hours/month
About Us
The Chronic Pain Project creates visibility for artists living with chronic pain through curated exhibitions, workshops, and community programming. We serve approximately 60 artists internationally, empowering them to tell their own stories while educating communities through authentic lived experiences.
We're a just-over-a-year-old nonprofit built on values of authenticity, creativity, empathy, community, and dignity. Everyone living with relevant health conditions is welcome to participate—we don't jury artwork.
What You'll Do
Help keep our digital presence current and accessible. This role involves:
Right now, we need someone who can help us catch up on updates that have been piling up, then maintain things going forward.
What We're Looking For
Time Commitment
Approximately 5 hours per month, with flexibility around your schedule and energy levels. Some months may require a bit more time, others less.
Why This Matters
Our website is often the first place people discover our artists' work. By keeping it current, you're directly helping artists gain visibility and helping people with chronic pain feel less alone in their experiences.
To Apply
A background check may be required as part of our volunteer onboarding process.
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds. If you're living with chronic pain or disability yourself, we especially encourage you to apply—lived experience is valuable here.
