Treasurer

Are you passionate about sharing local VT history and have a knack for numbers? The Saint Albans Museum is seeking a Treasurer to support its small (under $250k) but mighty operating budget. It’s an incredibly fulfilling opportunity, as you will be directly involved in making the museum's various programs and projects a reality!

The Treasurer is an Officer on the Board of Trustees and the Chair of the Finance & Fundraising Committee. Total time commitment per month is 5-8 hours.

• Responsible for the deposit, investment, and disbursement of funds. Maintains records of all financial transactions in QuickBooks.
• Coordinates with bookkeeper for monthly reconciliation.
• Prepares and distributes finance reports to the Finance & Fundraising Committee and Board of Trustees for review at monthly meetings.
• In conjunction with Executive Director and Finance & Fundraising Committee, prepares an annual operating budget for recommendation to the Board of Trustees.
• Compiles all relevant financial documents and submits to the museum’s tax advisor for annual filing of Form 990.
• Processes bi-monthly payroll in Gusto.

The Board of Trustees meetings are held at 6pm on the second Wednesday of the month on Zoom. The Finance & Fundraising Committee meets monthly at 10am on the second Tuesday of the month on Zoom and/or at the Saint Albans Museum.
