Volunteer DESCRIPTION - Regional Board Member, Boston, Massachusetts

The regional board of directors is made up of individuals who are willing to volunteer their time and skills to support the mission of Easterseals Massachusetts. ESMA provides exceptional programs and services to ensure that children and adults with disabilities have equal opportunities to live, learn, work and play.

Responsibilities Include:

• Understand the organization’s mission, services, policies, and programs, and inform others about ESMA.
• Help to enhance ESMA's public profile and network within the Boston communities and business areas.
• Attend and participate at regional board meetings via Microsoft Teams on the second Monday of the month, from 6:30PM-7:30PM.
• Support the organization financially either through donations and/or through helping with fundraising activities.
• Create/implement one professional networking event in the Boston Massachusetts area.
• Serve on at least one sub-committee and attend meetings.
• Aide in making connections between the organization and your personal network to promote and grow ESMA's services in Boston Massachusetts.
• Actively recruit new board members.

• Interested in the priorities and mission of the organization
• Solutions-oriented
• Well-connected to area businesses or willing to "cold call" businesses to achieve marketing and event sponsorship goals
• Willing and able to commit to a two-year board term
