Responsibilities - Content Writing

• Newsletter
  • Create and manage monthly newsletter content, including articles, event recaps, promotions, partnership news, and staff or donor spotlights.
  • Review, edit, and proofread newsletter content.
• Blog & Articles
  • Research and interview stakeholders to support content creation.
  • Write articles related to ASA programs and events.
  • Edit and proofread content for accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
• Social Media Posts
  • Write social media copy and captions.
  • Apply SEO best practices to improve search and social visibility.
• Organization & Event Promotion
  • Review and edit presentations, event recaps, marketing materials, and partnership materials.
• Miscellaneous
  • Review and edit job descriptions, formal statements, website content, and intern contracts.
  • Support content calendars and scheduling.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must live in the U.S.
• Valid U.S. work authorization (OPT accepted; no visa sponsorship or cost coverage).
• Are 20 years old or older
• Commit to 8-10 hours per week for at least 8 months.
• Reliable computer and Wi-Fi for a fully remote role.
• Comfortable with remote communication and basic outreach.
• Experience with Canva and Wordpress preferred
• Some experience in professional and/or creative writing preferred, but not required
