Serve our Veterans

ECHO Hospice Columbus is an active participant in the We Honor Veterans campaign, a program of the National Alliance for Care at Home (the Alliance), focused on respectful inquiry, compassionate listening and grateful acknowledgment of our veterans. By recognizing the unique needs of America’s veterans and their families, we are learning how to accompany and guide veterans through their life stories toward a more peaceful ending.

A veteran-to-veteran approach aims to pair veteran volunteers with hospice patients who have been identified as veterans. Veteran volunteers have the unique ability to relate and connect with each our veteran patients thereby creating an environment where life review and healing may occur.
