Support local sports—help us raise the Conway Dome for the winter season!

Every fall, we work together to raise the seasonal dome at the Conway Community Center to provide an indoor space for youth and community sports. This massive effort relies on the support of staff and dedicated community volunteers.

Here’s everything you need to know before you volunteer

Shift Details:

WHERE: Conway Community Center - 2090 Conway Street, St. Paul, MN 55119.

WHEN: Oct 31, 2026

TIME:

Morning: 8:00 AM-12:00 PM

Afternoon: 1:00 PM- 5:00 PM

Dress Code: Warm, comfortable clothing and layers suitable for the weather; closed-toe shoes required and sturdy all weather work gloves

Reminder: This is a very active opportunity that involves heavy lifting (up to 40 lbs), bending, and working outdoors.

Volunteer Tasks: Tasks vary by the phase of the project:

Spreading the dome fabric

Connecting sections of dome fabric

Anchoring the fabric with plyboards

Moving and positioning cables

Arrival Instructions: Please check in at the Equity Center, which is located right next to the Athletic Field
