About the Campaign

Jose Elias-Torres is a write-in candidate for Lake County Commissioner District 2. The campaign is focused on protecting what makes Lake County home, demanding responsible planning, respecting taxpayer dollars, strengthening public safety, modernizing county government, and ensuring seniors and families are not left behind.

This is a grassroots campaign being built from the ground up. We are looking for a dependable, organized volunteer who wants meaningful, hands-on experience helping operate a local political campaign.

Position Overview

The Volunteer Campaign Coordinator will work directly with the candidate to help organize and coordinate day-to-day campaign activities.

This is an operations-focused role. The ideal volunteer does not need previous campaign experience, but should be organized, dependable, comfortable following through on multiple priorities, and interested in helping build an effective local campaign.

The coordinator will help ensure that schedules, volunteer activities, events, outreach, campaign materials, and follow-ups remain organized and moving forward.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include:

• Maintain and help coordinate the campaign calendar.
• Track campaign priorities, deadlines, action items, and follow-ups.
• Assist with scheduling community events, meetings, candidate appearances, and campaign activities.
• Help coordinate campaign volunteers and volunteer assignments.
• Maintain organized campaign files, records, contact lists, and materials.
• Assist with preparation for community events, forums, meetings, and voter outreach.
• Help track outreach to community organizations, residents, local leaders, and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate follow-up after meetings, events, and campaign activities.
• Help maintain weekly campaign priorities and progress tracking.
• Work with the candidate and other volunteers to keep campaign activities organized.
• Support voter outreach and write-in voter education efforts when needed.
• Perform other reasonable campaign coordination activities consistent with the volunteer role.

Important Volunteer Expectations

This is an unpaid volunteer position.

Volunteers may not make purchases, place advertisements, enter contracts, incur expenses, or financially obligate the campaign without prior authorization.

Volunteers are expected to protect confidential campaign information, account credentials, voter or supporter information, and internal campaign materials.

The campaign may adjust responsibilities based on campaign needs, volunteer availability, skills, and experience.
