SLAY Loans
SLAY is a California-based nonprofit that offers fixed-amount, zero-interest microloans in support of the LGBTQ+ community. SLAY exists to expand access to essential resources, build collective power and wealth, and create opportunities for LGBTQ+ adults, youth, and families.
Through a queer-led, zero-interest lending model rooted in mutual aid, reciprocity, and abundance, we’re creating a community-powered system of care that supports long-term wellbeing and economic liberation.
What is the ELEVATE Task Force?
ELEVATE is a group of community-rooted volunteers who will collaborate with SLAY’s Board of Directors to expand SLAY’s impact in the San Francisco Bay Area. This includes forming meaningful connections with community partners, maximizing opportunities for outreach and engagement (e.g., events), and generally publicizing SLAY’s opportunities to potential recipients. ELEVATE’s main responsibility at this stage is to recruit loan applicants, and, later, to evaluate applicants and engage recipients. We are searching for the founding members of ELEVATE.
