Volunteer Manager

Role Overview:

As Volunteer Manager, you’ll oversee the onboarding, engagement, and retention of volunteers who support a wide range of roles - from marketing and fundraising to outreach and beneficiary support. You’ll work closely with leadership to implement systems and improve the volunteer experience.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee volunteer recruitment, screening, and onboarding

• Maintain and update the volunteer database

• Match volunteers with roles based on interests, availability, and skills

• Create or improve systems for communication, recognition, and engagement

• Schedule volunteer check-ins and team meetings (as needed)

• Collaborate with program leads to identify and fill volunteer needs

• Help plan volunteer appreciation efforts and gather feedback for improvement

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong people skills and a heart for service

• Experience with volunteer coordination, HR, or team leadership (preferred)

• Organized and confident using spreadsheets, Google Drive, and email communication

• Self-starter who’s comfortable working remotely

• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

• Passion for disability advocacy and uplifting underserved communities
