    Organization Overview:

    TalkOnDiabetes Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering people affected by diabetes and diabetes-related conditions through education, awareness, and access to trustworthy information. Our mission is to support individuals, families, and communities by sharing objective resources, increasing awareness, and creating opportunities for informed engagement around diabetes care and wellness.

    Opportunity Description:

    TalkOnDiabetes Foundation is seeking two volunteers to support our participation in a community fair in Bridgeport, Connecticut, on May 2, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

    Volunteers will help represent the Foundation at our event table, engage with attendees, distribute informational materials, and support community outreach efforts. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are interested in nonprofit work, public health awareness, community engagement, and event support.

    Volunteers will receive an introduction to the Foundation’s mission and will play an important role in helping us raise awareness about diabetes education and community resources.

    Volunteer Responsibilities:

    • Assist with table presentation and event setup
    • Welcome and engage attendees in a friendly, professional manner
    • Share information about the Foundation’s mission and resources
    • Distribute materials and help encourage community interaction
    • Support general outreach and event representation throughout the fair

    Who Should Apply:

    • Must be 18 years of age or older
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills preferred
    • Interest in nonprofit service, community outreach, health education, or event support
    • College students and emerging professionals are encouraged to apply
