Peer Minds is a growing nonprofit organization focused on culturally responsive mental health support, community connection, and peer-based programming for Middle Eastern, North African, and South Asian (MENASA) youth and young adults.
We are seeking a creative, motivated, and mission-driven Social Media & Digital Engagement Volunteer to help strengthen our online presence and support the growth of our programs and community initiatives.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit marketing, digital storytelling, community engagement, and startup growth strategy while contributing to meaningful mental health work.
Responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with social media content planning and scheduling
- Creating engaging Instagram, LinkedIn, and other digital content
- Helping develop monthly content ideas and campaigns
- Supporting promotion for programs, events, and educational sessions
- Repurposing program discussions and community conversations into digital content
- Assisting with audience engagement and community interaction
- Helping maintain brand consistency across platforms
- Collaborating with the Peer Minds leadership team on creative ideas and growth strategies
Ideal candidates may have:
- Interest in mental health, nonprofits, community engagement, or social impact work
- Familiarity with social media platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Canva
- Strong communication and creative thinking skills
- Interest in storytelling, digital marketing, or community-building
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a growing team
- Passion for culturally grounded and community-centered work
