Want to make a tangible impact in your community? We are looking for Distribution Center Support volunteers to help us gather food orders for Second Harvest's partnering pantries!
This is a hands-on opportunity to make a real impact, ensuring neighbors have access to nourishing foods.
What You'll Do:
- As a Distribution Center Support volunteer, you'll play an important role in preparing food orders for our partner pantries. This includes gathering and organizing orders onto pallets, using a pallet jack, to get them ready for delivery and pickup. Training will be provided.
What We're Looking For:
- Friendly, reliable individuals who enjoy working as part of a team.
- Able to work independently and lift between 20-30 pounds consistently throughout the shift. (Lifting may be up to 40-50 lbs at a time. Assistance is available when needed.)
- Experience using a pallet jack, or willing to learn.
Commitment:
- Approx. 8 a.m. - 12 p.m., Monday-Friday (at least 2 days per week) - We'll work with you to coordinate a regular weekly schedule.
- We ask for at least a 2-month minimum commitment.
Requirements:
- 18 years and above.
- Approved Second Harvest volunteer.
- Successfully complete a background check.
- Adherence to all workplace safety standards and procedures.
