    Description

Want to make a tangible impact in your community? We are looking for Distribution Center Support volunteers to help us gather food orders for Second Harvest's partnering pantries!

This is a hands-on opportunity to make a real impact, ensuring neighbors have access to nourishing foods.

    What You'll Do:

    • As a Distribution Center Support volunteer, you'll play an important role in preparing food orders for our partner pantries. This includes gathering and organizing orders onto pallets, using a pallet jack, to get them ready for delivery and pickup. Training will be provided.

    What We're Looking For:

    • Friendly, reliable individuals who enjoy working as part of a team.
    • Able to work independently and lift between 20-30 pounds consistently throughout the shift. (Lifting may be up to 40-50 lbs at a time. Assistance is available when needed.)
    • Experience using a pallet jack, or willing to learn.

    Commitment:

    • Approx. 8 a.m. - 12 p.m., Monday-Friday (at least 2 days per week) - We'll work with you to coordinate a regular weekly schedule.
    • We ask for at least a 2-month minimum commitment.

    Requirements:

    • 18 years and above.
    • Approved Second Harvest volunteer.
    • Successfully complete a background check.
    • Adherence to all workplace safety standards and procedures.

    Why Volunteer With Us?

    • You'll be part of a mission-driven team working to address food insecurity right in your community.
    • Volunteering with us means building community, staying active, and knowing your time is making a direct impact.
