    Background: Archaeological Legacy Institute (ALI) is a tax-exempt nonprofit organization based in Eugene. Our streaming-media Web site, The Archaeology Channel (TAC: www.archaeologychannel.org), has become the world’s most popular archaeology Web site, with annual traffic of about 7 million page views. For several years now, much of our social media communication has been done by volunteers. Continuing growth of our enterprise requires continuity among our dedicated staff of media specialists focusing on internet social media. We seek several volunteers to form the nucleus of such a staff.

    Hourly Commitment: at least 1 hour per week, more if possible.

    Job Purpose: To maintain and expand our on-line social media communications.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Carry out the formulatiomn and uploading of social media files using existing equipment and methods, to maintain ALI’s current rate of expansion of TAC programming.

    2. Explore ways to improve on currently used methods of social media communication through research into best practices of the streaming media industry.

    3. Maintain close coordination with our Executive Director in person and via e-mail and telephone in the conduct of social media communication tasks.

    Qualifications:

    Experience with social media. However, we will train, so vast knowledge in these areas is not required.

    Deadline: Our social media outlets are updated daily, so please respond ASAP.
