Join Ascending Growth and turn a few hours of your time into an opportunity to make a difference in our community!
We are seeking volunteers to assist with our concession stand fundraising events at local sporting and entertainment venues. Proceeds from these events help Ascending Growth provide workforce development, job training, life skills education, mentorship, and community resources to adults facing barriers in life and employment.
Volunteers may assist with taking orders, serving food and beverages, operating registers, stocking supplies, keeping work areas clean and organized, and supporting other team members throughout the event.
No previous experience is required. We are looking for dependable, positive individuals who enjoy working with people and want to give back to the community. Volunteers should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and standing for extended periods.
Volunteering with Ascending Growth is also a great way to meet new people, network, gain volunteer experience, and become more involved in the community.

Please enter from Armory Drive and park in CPCC Parking Deck #1. We expect to be assigned to Concession Stand #2. If you arrive and are unable to locate our group
Cómo participar como voluntario(a) en esta oportunidad
Please arrive on time at 4:30 PM. We have to prepare food, organize the concession area, and make sure everything is fully stocked before the gates open at 5:30 PM. Everyone arriving on time makes a BIG difference in helping us get ready before customers begin arriving.
Dress Attire:
You may wear jeans, dark pants, or appropriate-length dark shorts with a plain black shirt. For safety, closed-toe, non-slip shoes are required. Tennis shoes are acceptable. Long hair must be tied back during operating hours.
Important Concession Stand Rules:
Please remember that we are working in a food-service environment and must follow all stadium and health-code requirements.
- Cell phones are not permitted in the front of the concession stand during operating hours.
- Open drinks must remain in the back-of-house area.
- Cotton candy, Dippin’ Dots, popcorn, chips, and other concession items cannot be taken or consumed without purchase, even at the end of the event. These items may only be purchased at the available discounted rate.
- Volunteers should be prepared to work throughout the shift. We will be cooking, stocking, serving customers, handling orders, cleaning, and helping wherever needed.
