    Open Volunteer Spots: Unlimited

Join us on the farm for a hands-on mushroom growing experience! During this workshop, we’ll be expanding our gourmet mushroom production.

Outdoors, volunteers will help inoculate hardwood logs by inserting mushroom plugs—tiny dowels infused with mycelium—into freshly drilled holes.

Indoors, we’ll prepare sustainable grow mediums by shredding cardboard and repurposing used coffee grounds to cultivate mushrooms in a controlled environment. This is a great opportunity to learn about regenerative farming practices, low-waste food production, and the fascinating life cycle of fungi.

No prior experience is needed—just a willingness to get your hands a little dirty and have fun!

    Expect:

    Light drilling and hammering

    Tearing and soaking cardboard

Mixing coffee grounds for substrate preparation

    Learning about mushroom growing techniques

    Stacking and cutting logs
