BSW Hospice Volunteer Temple

Baylor Scott & White Hospice is seeking compassionate and dependable volunteers to support hospice patients and their families throughout the Temple area and surrounding communities.

Hospice volunteers are an important part of the care team. By giving a little of your time, you can provide companionship, comfort, and support to individuals and families during an important stage of life. No medical experience is required, and training is provided.

Volunteer Opportunities May Include

• Providing companionship and friendly conversation
• Visiting with patients in their homes or care facilities
• Reading, playing games, listening to music, or simply spending time together
• Providing a supportive presence for patients and families
• Assisting with light errands or other approved non-medical needs
• Helping with administrative or office projects
• Supporting special hospice programs and community activities

We welcome caring, dependable individuals who enjoy helping others. Ideal volunteers are respectful, good listeners, compassionate, and comfortable working with patients and families from a variety of backgrounds.

Volunteers must complete the required application, screening, orientation, and training before beginning service.
