Spanish speaking volunteer group facilitator

Role Responsibilities:

• Co-facilitate or lead online parent support groups in Spanish (with some English as needed)
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive virtual environment
• Encourage participation and peer-to-peer support among parents
• Follow PHP’s peer-led support model and group guidelines

Ideal Candidate:

• Fluent in both Spanish and English
• Strong communication and active listening skills
• Experience in group facilitation, parenting education, or community work (preferred but not required)
• Comfortable using virtual platforms (e.g., Zoom)
• Compassionate, dependable, and culturally sensitive

Time Commitment:

• Weekly or biweekly virtual sessions (schedule flexible)
• Participation in orientation/training

About the Program:

Parents Helping Parents (PHP) empowers parents to nurture children and build stronger families through peer-led support. In collaboration with the Family Resource Center of Chelsea, this program aims to expand access to support for Spanish-speaking parents in the community.
