About and Impact:
Norwood Crossing is a senior living community located in Chicago's Norwood Park neighborhood. Join the fun and help our senior residents enjoy one of their favorite games – Bingo!
Time Commitment:
Volunteers are needed on a weekly basis to assist with Bingo sessions. Available shifts include:
- Tuesdays: 2:15 PM – 3:15 PM
- Saturdays: 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM and/or 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Responsibilities:
- Assist residents as they play the game. Some need help with seeing the Bingo card, some have hearing loss and some physically may need a volunteer’s help in placing their Bingo tokens on the card.
- Assist with setting up the game.
- Transport residents via wheel chair or accompany them as they walk to and from Bingo.
Qualifications:
- Able to safely transport residents in their wheelchairs (training provided).
