Vamos-a-Pescar event Volunteer

About the event

Vamos a Pescar is a once yearly free family fishing event held in Tropical Park. The event is open to seasoned anglers and beginners alike and provides educational resources for guests to learn the basics of safe angling. Additionally, the event features a variety of educational booths where guests can learn all about safe angling, south Florida's ecosystems, and conservation. Local businesses will also be exhibitors at the event, giving guests the opportunity to learn about businesses in the area. This special event is made possible thanks to Miami Ecoadventures/ Miami-Dade Parks. We aim to create a fun and educational environment for families to participate in fishing and learn about organizations, businesses, and programs in the community. Your presence helps bring that vision to life.

What to bring

• Wear comfortable and breathable attire
• Closed toe shoes
• Water bottle
• Lunch that does not need to be refrigerated or heated up
• there will also be food vendors at event)

What you will help with

• Crowd Management
• Parking (18+)
• Registration
• Setting up event
• Helping clean up after event
• Picking up trash during event
• Assisting vendors

Volunteer duties will be assigned at the event on event day

Keep in Mind

• You will be standing most of the day
• The weather will most likely be hot and humid and this event is outdoors
• You must arrive at 8:30 AM
