Lead Your Own Female-Athlete Health Organization

    About Hitting the Wall:

Hitting The Wall is an international movement committed to fostering positive change within the teen-girl endurance sports community, empowering healthier and happier athletes. We are dedicated to elevating underrepresented perspectives in women’s athletics, advocating for the complexities of girlhood and sport, and amplifying the voices of women in the athletic community.

Since our founding, we have collaborated with 20+ Companies and NPOs, including Saputo Inc., YMCA, Nuun Hydration, and Oiselle. We are the winners of the 2023 Build a Bright Future grant, a 2026 ESPY Award, and a 2026 Sports Humanitarian Award. You can find us on Forbes, The Today Show, and Elle Magazine.

    What is a chapter leader?

A Hitting The Wall chapter leader runs a local mini-organization at their school or in their community. As a chapter leader, you get to bring HTW’s mission directly to the athletes around you by starting conversations and leading projects that support girls in sports. HTW will support chapter leaders every step of the way. We can help with project ideas and sponsor materials for chapter events or larger initiatives.

Chapter leaders are expected to complete at least one meaningful project per semester.

    Age Requirement:

As long as you’re an 8th grader or above, you are qualified (age-wise) to become a chapter leader with HTW! We prefer for our chapter leaders to be in late middle school, high school, or college.

    Why Should I Join:

Becoming a chapter leader is a chance to build something of your own while still having support behind you. If you have ever wanted to start your own project and create change in your school or community, this is a great way to begin. You get to take ownership of your own chapter, while still receiving resources and potential funding from HTW to bring your ideas to life.
