Freestore Foodbank's Healthy Harvest Mobile Market

The Healthy Harvest Mobile Market launched in Spring 2016 to promote good nutrition and encourage healthy shopping. By bringing healthy produce into the local community, we provide customers a chance to make nutritious selections near their homes. While our selection changes based on the season, some of our produce has included: cabbage, kale, chard, chives, cilantro, romaine lettuce, spinach, turnips, apples, grapes and bananas.

Task: Volunteers will assist with the Healthy Harvest Mobile Market operations by assisting with the setup and breakdown of the mobile market, restocking shelves, setting up displays, and performing basic customer service skills while the market is open. Volunteers will meet at the market location.

Mobile Market Sites (Shift times based on location):

Mondays: Lincoln Heights & College Hill

Tuesdays: Price Hill, South Fairmont, & Sayler Park

Wednesdays: Evanston & Avondale

Thursdays: Moores Hill & Springdale

Fridays: West End &Walnut Hills
