Teacher / Professor (GEZ Program)

We are seeking passionate Teachers, Professors and Education Professionals to lead engaging and educational in-person (PA or NJ) workshops as part of our Girls Empowerment Zone (GEZ) Program.

We are looking for experienced professionals in teaching, creative writing, reading, mathematics, languages, and the arts to share their expertise and inspire learners. This role is ideal for teachers, educators and professionals eager to make a meaningful impact.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and facilitate interactive and educational workshops in your area of expertise.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment tailored to different age groups (7-17 years old) and skill levels.
• Provide guidance and encouragement to participants, fostering their personal and academic growth.
• Work with the GEZ Program team to align workshops with organizational goals and community needs.

Desired Areas of Expertise:

• Education: Teachers specializing in creative writing, reading, elementary math, and algebra.
• Psychology & Social Work: Professionals who can lead discussions on mental wellness, social skills, and emotional development.
• Arts & Creativity: Artists in sculpture, painting, and music who can provide hands-on creative experiences.
• Math & Literacy: Lower and middle school math teachers and reading specialists for foundational skill-building.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Must have background clearance.
• Experience in teaching, facilitation, or mentorship in a relevant field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt content to different learning styles and needs.
• Passion for community service and education.
