Board Treasurer

canDID Expressions is looking for a Board Treasurer to help steward the financial health of our growing nonprofit. As a member of our volunteer board, you'll oversee our budget, guide financial reporting, and help us build sound fiscal practices as we expand our writing and expressive arts programming for people who live with trauma-based dissociation.

This is a two-year, renewable term with a time commitment of approximately 2 to 4 hours per month, including quarterly board meetings (remote) and occasional review or approvals between meetings. Responsibilities include:

• Reviewing financial statements and budget updates before each board meeting
• Presenting financial reports and updates at quarterly board meetings
• Supporting annual budget planning
• Advising on financial policy and practices as canDID Expressions grows
• Helping ensure sound fiscal controls as the organization scales
• Actively participating in discussions, decisions, and planning across all board activities, not just financial matters

Experience in accounting, nonprofit finance, or financial management is a strong plus, though a willingness to learn alongside a small, mission-driven team is just as valuable. This is a fully virtual role. By volunteering as Treasurer, you'll help ensure the financial sustainability of canDID Expressions, provide critical support to our community's growth, and connect with a small, mission-driven team building something meaningful together.
