This isn't just an informational meeting; it’s a high-velocity, one-stop shop where we help you knock out your entire mentor checklist on-site. • Fill out your digital mentor profile with our team standing by to assist with any questions.

1. Your Interview Scheduling:

• Skip the endless scheduling links and lock in your 1-on-1 phone interview on the spot.

1. Your CPS Background Check:

• Complete your mandatory background check screening paperwork right here (the biggest onboarding hurdle, resolved instantly).

• Network directly with current iMentor staff, ambassadors, and active mentors to hear real-world experiences.

Who We Are Looking For (Mentor Requirements)

To ensure the success, safety, and empowerment of our CPS students, all iMentor volunteers must meet the following baseline criteria:

• Be 21 years of age or older.
• Hold a two-year or four-year college degree (or equivalent professional/life experience).
• Live and/or work in the Chicagoland area (you can specify geographic location preferences for your actual mentoring site!).
• Be available to commit to just 3 hours a month (including one consistent, structured monthly in-person session at your matched high school).

What to Bring With You

1. A Valid Government-Issued Photo ID: This is non-negotiable so we can safely process your CPS background check on-site.
2. A Smartphone, Tablet, or Laptop: To easily access and fill out your digital portal application.
3. Your Professional Best: Dress sharp! You’ll be stepping in front of our camera for your complimentary headshot once your steps are done.
