Opportunity Overview
Little Haiti BK is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intern / Volunteer to support our grant writing, fundraising, administrative operations, and community awareness efforts.
This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit development, operations, and outreach while contributing to meaningful, community-driven work.
Key Responsibilities
Grant Research & Writing
- Research grant opportunities aligned with Little Haiti BK’s mission
- Assist in drafting grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and reports
- Track deadlines and maintain grant calendars
Fundraising Support
- Assist in planning and supporting fundraising campaigns and events
- Help develop donor outreach materials and sponsorship decks
- Support in-kind donation outreach (businesses, partners, vendors)
Administrative Support
- Assist with day-to-day office operations and organization
- Maintain files, documents, and shared systems (Google Drive, trackers)
- Support scheduling, email follow-ups, and internal coordination
- Help prepare materials for meetings and events
Community Awareness & Outreach
- Support efforts to increase visibility and awareness of Little Haiti BK
- Assist with outreach to local businesses, community members, and partners
- Help distribute flyers, share resources, and promote programs/events
- Contribute ideas on how to expand community engagement and presence
Data & Tracking
- Maintain grant tracker and funding pipeline
- Track submissions, follow-ups, and outcomes
- Assist with reporting and documentation

Requirements
- Must be available for in-person support in Brooklyn
- Minimum commitment of 15–30 hours per week
