English Reading Comprehension or Writing Tutors (For High School Student Volunteers only)

Virtual Tutoring Opportunities

English tutors are needed to assist students in learning and improving their English skills.

• • Two Grade 6 students
  • One Grade 5 student.

English Level: Students' English levels vary from English as a first language to English as a second/third language.

Expectation: Assist the student (1) to read an English novel together; or (2) to complete the provided reading worksheets; (3) or practice writing in English. These expectations are subject to the programs we'll discuss later.

Starting Date: Any soonest day that the tutor can start

Session duration: 60 mins

Sessions in a week: 1 or 2 sessions per week

Preferred time slots: Subject to the mutual availability of the student and the tutor.

Minimum Weeks to commit: Four.

Instruction languages: English

How to apply

If you wish to become a BEA English tutor to participate in any of these programs, please -

1. 1. Fill out a volunteer application form for high school students published on our website at: www.brookedge.org;

AND

1. 1. Send over your most recent school report that contains your English performance or score to brookedgeacademy@gmail.com.

If you pass the initial review, you will receive an invitation to a 15-minute onboarding session.
