Blue Ridge CASA is expanding to Shenandoah and Page County. We are looking for people who are interested in becoming a Court Appointed Special Advocate for a child in foster care. Over the last year, our advocates have worked an average of 6 hours a month. Responsibilities include: meeting with the child once a month, speaking with the biological family and foster family, coordinating with professionals, and attending court. The volunteer is supported at all times by their Advocate Manager. Training is provided and will start on February 7th, 2026. Children who have a CASA advocate report higher levels of hope, are less likely to re-enter the system, do better in school, and are connected to more services and support. With only 6 hours a month, you have the power to change a child's whole trajectory in life.
