Overview
Global OffSite Care (GOSC) is seeking a volunteer to support marketing and communication efforts related to fundraising and donor engagement.
GOSC works to expand access to healthcare in underserved communities through telemedicine partnerships around the world. Initiatives such as the Haiti Telemedicine Project, including its mobile pharmacy program, rely on community support and donor contributions to sustain operations and expand services.
This volunteer role focuses on helping communicate program impact and highlight fundraising initiatives through digital content and outreach.
Responsibilities
- Assist in creating social media posts that highlight GOSC programs and fundraising initiatives
- Help develop content that communicates the impact of donations and program outcomes
- Support promotion of fundraising initiatives such as the Haitian Art Store that helps fund the pharmacy supporting the Haiti orphanage telemedicine project
- Assist with drafting marketing materials for fundraising campaigns and donor updates
- Suggest ideas for increasing awareness of fundraising initiatives through digital channels
- Collaborate with the GOSC fundraising team, Communications Director, and President to align messaging and support fundraising initiatives
Time Commitment
Approximately 2–4 hours per month, including participation in the monthly GOSC staff meeting (7 PM PST).
Preferred Skills
- Interest in nonprofit marketing, communications, or global health
- Strong written communication skills
- Familiarity with social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram
- Experience with basic design tools such as Canva helpful but not required
