Mental Health Professionals Needed for Children with Facial Difference's Retreat

We are looking for someone who is moved to help us process the highs and lows of being in our incredible, immersive event. Our children and families with craniofacial differences are onsite for 3-4 days and during that time often want to process their feelings with a mental health professional. We want someone who is as enthusiastic as we are to celebrate the lives of our families, and also willing to sit with them in the hard moments and gently suggest continuing their mental health hygiene with options back at home. Living with a facial difference (sometimes called disfigurement) means living a life where you're always stared at, but rarely seen.

• The event is being held at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress June 26-28, 2026.
• We'll have about 120-150 kids with facial differences in attendance, plus their families for a total of about 550 people.
• Asking for a donation of 2-4 hours shooting on location at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress in Orlando, Florida

THE SETUP

Dedicated quiet conference room with sensory friendly aids.

Camp CARE stands for Conversations About Retreat Experiences - a safe, sensory friendly space where attendees can go and drop in or schedule for time with a mental health professional or peer counselor to explore their feelings.

We allow attendees to register in advance for sessions, but also hold the space open during the allotted times. Our allotted times are:

Friday:

• 9:00am - 9:50am
• 1:30pm - 2:20pm
• 2:30pm - 3:20pm
• 3:30pm - 4:20pm

Saturday:

• 9:30am - 10:20am
• 10:30am - 11:20am
• 1:00pm - 2:00pm
• 4:30pm - 5:20pm
• 5:30pm - 6:20pm

REQUIREMENTS

• Driver's License Needed
• Proof of certification / license
• Background Check
• Asking for a donation of 2-4 hrs photo time minimum; multiple times/days appreciated
• There is a an application form, code of ethics, agreement, and background check required to volunteer.
