About the Opportunity

Do you want to make a tangible difference in your local community? NEXT Village SF is a neighborhood non-profit dedicated to helping our senior members live independently and stay connected in the place they love.

We are looking for kind, reliable volunteers to provide the "little bit of help" that makes aging-in-place possible. Whether you have one hour a month or three hours a week, your time directly impacts the lives of your neighbors in North Beach, Telegraph Hill, and the surrounding areas.

Ways You Can Help:

We match volunteers with members based on your interests and schedule. Common requests include:

• Tech Support: Helping a member navigate their laptop, iPad, or smartphone.
• Transportation: Providing rides to medical appointments or grocery stores.
• Social Connection: Hosting a weekly game day, leading a walk, or simply visiting for a friendly chat.
• Light Errands: Helping with a quick grocery run or a trip to the pharmacy.
• Home Organization: Assisting with simple tasks like sorting mail or light "straightening up."
