Tax Aide Counselor - Tax Preparers
Descripción
Descripción
If you like to work with numbers and people, this program is for you.
This program provides free tax preparation assistance to low and middle-income individuals of all ages, with special attention given to seniors (60+). Helping others sort through stacks of paperwork and lines of numbers is what the free AARP Tax-Aide Volunteer Program is all about.
Interested volunteers are provided free training in federal and state tax law and must pass an IRS open-book certification test. Volunteers are also trained in using the IRS-provided software for preparing electronically filed tax returns. All training materials and necessary equipment are provided for tax preparation.
Demand for this important and helpful service is increasing each year and in particular, more counselors are needed to work at sites in both Racine and Kenosha Counties.
We can also use volunteers as technology assistants, public relation representatives, appointment schedulers and receptionists.
Volunteers work in 7 sites located throughout Kenosha and Racine Counties. Sites are open weekdays in different areas of the two counties.
