Provide comfort to patients and their families by providing a rollaway bed for a patient's overnight guest. Having a loved one spend the night with a patient relieves stress and offers peace of mind. Volunteer Services is proud to offer guest bed service at no charge.
New volunteers will receive hospital orientation training and will shadow a current Guest Bed volunteer to learn the necessary processes.
Guest Bed volunteers will:
*provide a comfortable environment for guests by delivering beds to patient rooms
*log the location of beds in use
*gather beds and return to Housekeeping after use
