We are seeking passionate and dedicated volunteers to help lead or assist digital and computer classes designed to empower individuals with essential basic computer skills. Whether you are an experienced educator, tech enthusiast, or someone who simply enjoys helping others learn, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact in your community
About this Opportunity
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teach or assist in teaching basic computer and digital skills to participants with little to no experience.
- Guide students through lessons using computers, the internet, word processing, and email (varies based on the bootcamp topic)
- Provide one-on-one support to students as needed.
- Foster a welcoming, patient, and encouraging classroom environment.
- Lesson preparations and classroom setup as needed.
- Collaborate with other volunteers and staff to ensure smooth class operations.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Intermediate to advanced Spanish-speaking ability.
- A basic understanding of computers, the internet, and Google Suite.
- Good communication skills and patience.
- A willingness to assist and work with diverse groups of learners.
- Previous teaching or tutoring experience is a plus but not required. A strong interest in helping others learn is preferred.
- Reliable and committed to the duration of the program (2 weekends).
