Role Overview

The Senior Director of Product & Technology serves as the senior operational leader responsible for coordinating product strategy, engineering execution, technology operations, innovation initiatives, and cross-functional delivery across MAP's technology ecosystem.

Working closely with the Chief Product & Technology Officer, this leader helps transform organizational priorities into scalable technology solutions while ensuring alignment between product vision, engineering execution, user experience, security, accessibility, and organizational impact.

The Senior Director helps create the operational structure, leadership alignment, and strategic coordination necessary to support a growing portfolio of mission-driven products and technology initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Product & Technology Strategy

• Support execution of MAP's product and technology vision
• Align product, engineering, infrastructure, and experience initiatives
• Help develop long-term technology roadmaps and priorities
• Identify opportunities for innovation and organizational improvement
• Support strategic planning across PromiseStack

Organizational Leadership

• Provide leadership across product and technology functions
• Strengthen collaboration between technical and non-technical teams
• Support leadership development within PromiseStack
• Promote accountability, transparency, and operational excellence
• Help scale systems, processes, and organizational maturity

Product Portfolio Oversight

• Support governance of MAP's product portfolio
• Ensure alignment between user needs and product priorities
• Monitor product performance and adoption
• Coordinate product planning across multiple platforms
• Support product investment and prioritization decisions

Technology Operations & Engineering Excellence

• Partner with engineering leadership to support delivery and execution
• Strengthen engineering standards and development practices
• Promote accessibility-by-design, security-by-design, and privacy-by-design principles
• Support platform reliability and technology sustainability
• Help guide technical decision-making

Delivery & Transformation

• Support cross-functional planning and execution
• Remove barriers impacting product and technology teams
• Improve delivery effectiveness and organizational coordination
• Monitor strategic initiatives and organizational priorities
• Promote continuous improvement and agile practices

Innovation & Future Readiness

• Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends
• Support AI-ready architecture and innovation initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in product leadership, technology leadership, digital transformation, engineering management, consulting, innovation, operations, or related fields
• Strong understanding of product development and software delivery
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and strategic initiatives
• Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Systems-thinking mindset with the ability to connect strategy and execution
• Passion for mission-driven technology and social impact
