February Volunteer Orientation

At Northland Therapeutic Riding Center (NTRC), we partner horses with children and adults with disabilities to support confidence, strength, joy, and independence. You don’t need horse experience to get involved—just a willingness to help and a heart for serving others.

During this 2-hour orientation, you’ll get a up close look at:

• What equine-assisted services are and how they impact our participants
• NTRC’s mission and the culture that makes our barn so special
• Volunteer roles both in lessons (side walking, horse leading, welcoming families, barn help) and outside of lessons (property projects, feeding chores, office support, organizing, and more)

There truly is a place for everyone whether you love horses, love people, or just want to be part of something good.

NTRC volunteers collectively contribute over 900 hours each month, making it possible for participants to meet goals, grow, and experience moments they look forward to all week.
