Random Acts of Kindness Week in February encourages everyone to make kindness the norm in their everyday actions. One way to spread kindness during this week is to write a thank you note to a local Little Free Library steward! (A steward is an individual or group of people who care for a Little Free Library book-sharing box.) These notes help stewards see how their Little Free Library book-sharing boxes are making an impact in their communities.
Purpose: Strengthen community connections and spread kindness by showing your gratitude for a community resource.
How to Participate:
- Sign up on our website. We will share tips for creating your thank you note and some printable thank you note templates.
- During Random Acts of Kindness Week (Feb. 15-21, 2026), write your thank you note and deliver it to a Little Free Library near you.
- You can leave your thank you note inside any Little Free Library book-sharing box in the US. Find a location near you using our free mobile app or online map.
- After Random Acts of Kindness Week, submit an impact form telling us how it went, and you will have a chance to win a free book bundle.
