Bring Comfort and Joy: Become a Volunteer for Hospice patients- Redwood City area

Are you looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of patients facing the end of life?

Vitas Healthcare is looking for volunteers who are able to share their time with hospice patients living at home, assisted living, or in long term care facilities. Hospice volunteers give their time to terminally ill patients and their caregivers during a critical time. Hours are flexible, can be during the weekend. Average commitment is about 1 hour a week. Training is provided. Volunteers can offer companionship for the patient, read, play music, games, and help in other meaningful ways.

As a volunteer, you'll have the chance to participate in various activities that will brighten the days of those we serve.

We are in immediate need of volunteers to:

• Play music to the patient from your phone
• play cards and games with patients
• Do arts and crafts together, games, puzzles
• Read to patient, and socialize

You must be age 18 or over to be a volunteer.
