1st and 2nd grade Reading Tutors at Severn and Van Bokkelen Elementary

STAIR-Annapolis, Start The Adventure In Reading, is a twice-weekly, AFTER SCHOOL literacy tutoring program for Anne Arundel County Public School first and second grade students reading below grade level. Tutors work one-on-one with a student for an hour-long session, and we offer our volunteers the flexibility to choose their level of commitment: one day per week, two days per week, or as a substitute on an as-needed basis. STAIR-Annapolis has a site at Severn Elementary which meets on Tuesday and Wednesday, and at the Severn Center (Van Bokkelen Elementary) in Severn that meets on Tuesday and Thursday. Both of these sites meet from 2:30-3:45. The STAIR program runs from early October to early May. We offer a comprehensive introduction and training for all new volunteers.
