Virtual Home Check Coordinator for Dog Rescue (Volunteer)

Passion for Pitties Rescue is seeking compassionate and detail-oriented volunteers to join our team as Virtual Home Check Coordinators. Home checks are an important part of our adoption and foster approval process and help us ensure that prospective adopters and foster families can provide a safe environment for our dogs.

This role is ideal for animal lovers who enjoy meeting new people, asking thoughtful questions, and helping dogs find successful placements.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and conduct virtual home checks using FaceTime, Zoom, WhatsApp Video, or other video platforms.
• Review homes with prospective adopters and foster families to ensure they meet rescue guidelines.
• Verify safety features such as fencing, outdoor spaces, and pet living areas.
• Complete and submit home check notes and recommendations to the rescue team.
• Communicate with applicants in a friendly, professional, and supportive manner.
• Collaborate with the Passion for Pitties team through email and/or WhatsApp.

Qualifications

• Comfortable using video calling applications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, organized, and responsive.
• Ability to represent the rescue professionally and compassionately.
• Passion for animal welfare and dog rescue.
• Previous rescue, fostering, or adoption experience is helpful but not required.

Time Commitment

• Minimum of 2–5 hours per week.
• Flexible scheduling based on volunteer availability and applicant demand.
