The Georgia Infirmary dates back to 1832 where it served as the oldest African-American Hospital in the nation. Today it serves as an adult day health center, serving the elderly and those with physical disabilities. The center provides medical management, various therapeutic and recreational activities, and social connections for its clients. A volunteer is needed to serve as the Adult Day Center Activities Coordinator who coordinates recreational and therapeutic activities relevant to members’ abilities and interests; assists with lunch service, activities, and other programs for the members; creates meaningful programming that serves a variety of needs; provides engagement with/for members experiencing varied cognitive functioning by coordinating daily activities and social events.
