Event & Market Operations Intern

Location: San Diego, CA Commitment: 5–10 hours/week Format: In‑person (markets + events)

About the Role

The Event & Market Operations Intern supports ASCENDtials’ community markets and public events. This role is ideal for students interested in event management, community engagement, environmental education, or nonprofit operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with market setup and breakdown
• Support vendor check‑in and booth coordination
• Help manage youth vendor stations
• Provide onsite customer support and information
• Assist with learning stations and community engagement activities
• Capture event notes, attendance, and logistics for reporting
• Coordinate with staff through the ASCENDtials Dashboard

Requirements

• Must be able to attend weekend markets/events
• Comfortable interacting with the public
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs (tables, signage, supplies)
• Reliable transportation to event sites
• Completion of Teammate Membership + Dashboard onboarding
