Location: San Diego, CA Commitment: 5–10 hours/week Format: In‑person (markets + events)
About the Role
The Event & Market Operations Intern supports ASCENDtials’ community markets and public events. This role is ideal for students interested in event management, community engagement, environmental education, or nonprofit operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist with market setup and breakdown
- Support vendor check‑in and booth coordination
- Help manage youth vendor stations
- Provide onsite customer support and information
- Assist with learning stations and community engagement activities
- Capture event notes, attendance, and logistics for reporting
- Coordinate with staff through the ASCENDtials Dashboard

Requirements
- Must be able to attend weekend markets/events
- Comfortable interacting with the public
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs (tables, signage, supplies)
- Reliable transportation to event sites
- Completion of Teammate Membership + Dashboard onboarding
Onboarding Steps
