Help make a difference for those living with rare diseases by volunteering with the Rare Genomics Institute (RG). Our non-profit organization is committed to advocating for rare disease patients by connecting them with next-generation sequencing, digital health researchers, cutting-edge medical devices, and knowledge-sharing resources.
As our organization continues to grow, we are seeking a dedicated and mission-driven Human Resources Generalist to join our volunteer team. This role will report to the Human Resources Lead and will support the development and implementation of key HR processes that help attract, engage, and retain talented volunteers across the organization.
The HR Generalist will collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to support core HR activities such as volunteer recruitment and onboarding, HR operations, policy development, and employee engagement initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, a passion for people and culture, and an interest in helping build scalable HR practices within a mission-driven nonprofit environment.
This role will play an important part in ensuring that RG continues to foster a supportive and inclusive volunteer experience while enabling our teams to effectively advance our mission. By helping strengthen the people and processes behind the organization, this position will contribute to the work that ultimately helps patients, families, caregivers, and researchers access critical knowledge and resources about rare diseases. All services provided through RG are free of charge and open to the public.
