Are you a people person who loves conversing with new people and making new friends? Put your skills to good use by being a friend to a hospice patient in need.
We are looking for caring individuals in or near Oregon, OH to be a companionship volunteer to one or more of our hospice patients. Volunteer visits help alleviate stress and loneliness for our hospice patients while simultaneously providing our volunteers with meaningful life experiences. Visits will take place in the patient's own private home and can last anywhere from 30 minutes - 2 hours. Volunteer schedules are made based on the volunteer's own availability and the patient's wants and needs. Even if you can only volunteer 1-2 hours a month, we would still love to have you. No amount of time is too small to make a difference.
