Newsletter & Content Writer

Be our Newsletter & Content Writer! Craft compelling stories that connect donors, volunteers, and community members to our mission of Helping & Healing. Turn program updates and impact data into inspiring narratives. 3-4 hrs/week (virtual).

Health Matters Clinic is seeking a Newsletter & Content Writer to create engaging written content that builds community support and communicates our impact. You'll translate our healthcare equity work into stories that inspire action and sustained engagement.

Your role will include:

• Writing monthly donor newsletters with program updates and impact stories
• Creating blog posts highlighting volunteer experiences and community successes
• Crafting compelling success stories while respecting patient privacy
• Developing content for website, social media, and fundraising materials
• Collaborating with program staff to gather authentic community stories
• Editing and proofreading all written communications for consistency

Skills We're Looking For:

• Excellent writing and editing skills across different formats
• Experience with newsletter platforms (Mailchimp, Constant Contact)
• Ability to translate complex healthcare topics into accessible language
• Understanding of storytelling for nonprofit/social impact organizations
• Familiarity with HIPAA privacy requirements for patient stories
• Strong interviewing skills for gathering volunteer and community stories
