    Descripción

Organization: The Lily Foundation for Patient Advocacy and Empowerment

    Compensation: Non compensated (Volunteer)

Time Commitment: Low weekly commitment, high impact results

Location: Remote / Flexible (with virtual public facing engagements)

    The Mission

At The Lily Foundation, we believe that navigating a health journey should not require a medical degree. The bravest fight a patient faces should not be understanding their own diagnosis. We are looking for an inspiring, visionary leader to step into the role of Health Advocacy Director—a vital position dedicated to turning clinical complexity into clear, compassionate, and actionable guidance for families when they need it most.

    The Impact You Will Make

As the Health Advocacy Director, you will not just be working behind the scenes; you will be the premier voice of our health literacy initiatives. You will bridge the gap between the world of complex medicine and the heart of patient understanding through powerful public engagement.

    Key Responsibilities:

Voice the Cause: Participate in podcasts and media appearances to champion health literacy, share patient advocacy insights, and elevate the foundation’s mission.

Host and Educate: Design and host engaging interactive workshops aimed at empowering patients, caregivers, and families with practical navigation tools.

Public Speaking: Act as a key spokesperson for the foundation, delivering impactful presentations that translate intricate clinical information into warm, accessible knowledge.

Guard Medical Soundness: Ensure that all spoken content, workshop materials, and published resources are accurate, evidence based, and medically sound.

    Who You Are

The Communicator: You have a strong background in healthcare, nursing, public health, or clinical research, combined with a natural charisma and a love for public speaking.

The Educator: You are comfortable commanding a virtual or live room, hosting workshops, and engaging with podcast hosts to make dense medical concepts feel clear and comforting.

The Idealist: You believe that health literacy is a fundamental right and want to use your voice to drive patient empowerment on a larger stage.

The Balanced Professional: You want to make a massive, tangible difference in the community, but need a role designed to respect your existing personal and professional calendar.

    Why Join Us?

"Big impact does not require a full time clock."

This is a low time commitment, high visibility role designed for a professional who wants to use their unique blend of clinical knowledge and public speaking talents for a deep purpose. By donating just a few hours a month to host a workshop or record a podcast episode, you will directly relieve the burden on families navigating difficult diagnoses, giving them clarity, dignity, and hope.

    How to Apply

If you are ready to use your clinical mind and your public voice to change how families experience healthcare, we want to hear from you.

Please reach out with a brief note on your background and why patient literacy matters to you at info@lilyadvocacy.org or visit lilyadvocacy.org.

Join us, and help us turn confusion into clarity and fear into empowerment.
