Friendly volunteer visits, Mason, MI

Gentiva Hospice serves Ingham County. We are seeking volunteers that are wanting to visits our seniors on hospice care. Somes examples of visits may be just sitting with the patient, watching TV, playing games, cards, crafts, reading or being read to, or putting puzzles together. Those are just some ideas but there are many more possibilities.

Some patients are in their own homes while others are living in facilities.

To become a volunteer, you have to be trained and go through the following to be compliant with Medicare and facility rules. They are the following: background check, fingerprinting, and drug screening (excluding marijuana).
